Bard PowerPort

If you had a Bard Powerport, a Port-a-Cath, or a Chemo Port implanted after 1996 and received treatment for the following injuries:

  • Break
  • Fracture
  • Fracture causing embolism
  • Broken pieces embedded in artery/organ
  • Cardiac puncture
  • Broken pieces passed through heart
  • Broken pieces perforated a vein or organ
  • Hematoma
  • Hemorrhage
  • Laceration to blood vessels
  • Infection more than 90 days after implant
  • Thromboembolic event more than 90 days after implant
  • Blood Clots more than 90 days after implant
  • Arrhythmia more than 90 days after implant
  • Leakage at port site
  • Dislodgement or disconnection of the catheter from the port
  • Cardiac/pericardial tamponade
  • Necrosis around the port
  • Severe and persistent pain around port/catheter
  • Death
