Matthew Lacey is an associate bankruptcy attorney focusing on debt settlement and Chapter 7 cases. Matt brings a high knowledge of debt negotiation and helping clients choose the right plan for them. After graduating college in 2016, he worked with a national debt settlement firm, where he settled over $6.5 million in debt for his clients. This position piqued his interest in consumer debt. Matt graduated with his Juris Doctorate from New England Law | Boston in 2021.

Before coming to Hoglund Law, Matt worked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where he focused on victims of crimes receiving restitution and recovered assets for victims. While there, he was able to work on a variety of complex cases.

Matt understands that dealing with debt is frustrating and worrying and looks to be as accommodating as possible. Helping clients overcome their difficult financial situations brings great reward to him.

In his personal time, Matt enjoys snowboarding and is an avid soccer fan.
