Matthew C. Garner
Matt is a Social Security Disability Attorney in our Milwaukee branch. He received his Bachelor in Arts from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI with a double major in Political Science and History earning Magna Cum Laude honors. Matt played both collegiate Soccer and Tennis earning All-Conference 6 times (4 in Tennis, 2 in Soccer) as well as being a 4 time Academic All-American.
After Aquinas Matt went to Marquette University for law school. While at Marquette, Matt earned the CALI Award of Excellence for best grade in class in both Professional Sports Law and Using Statutes Skillfully as an Advocate and Counselor. Matt was also a member for the Marquette Sports Law Review where he edited and reviewed articles before publication. He also participated on the Moot Court team for the National Baseball Arbitration Competition in New Orleans, LA. Further, Matt had an article published: Time to Move on? Since joining Hoglund Law Offices in 2009, Matt routinely will advocate in over 500 Hearings a year on behalf of Hoglund clients. The aspect of being able to assist people when they’re at their greatest need is one of the major reasons why Matt decided to become an attorney. Joining Hoglund Law Offices was a great fit in being able to help people primarily throughout the state of Wisconsin but also throughout the Midwest.
When he is not working, Matt liked to continue to try and play as many sports as possible including soccer, golf, volleyball, and kickball among others. When not playing sports, Matt likes to take his dog on hikes or to parks around the Milwaukee area as well as going back home to spend time with family.
