Joshua D. Millard
Joshua Millard graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011. He is a member of the Minnesota state bar and has been an associate attorney at Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik since 2012. Joshua practices in Social Security Disability law advising clients throughout their application process including representing them at hearings before administrative law judges. His typical day can include reviewing medical records, advising clients, drafting briefs, reviewing potential claims and counseling clients at Social Security Disability hearings. Joshua practices primarily in Minnesota and Wisconsin and frequently travels throughout those states for disability hearings.
Joshua has personal experience with disability law and was a recipient of Social Security benefits himself. He is knowledgeable is many aspects of disability including social programs but also physical obstacles of daily life and the mental tolls these frustrations can have. He enjoys helping his clients navigate the disability systems and adjust to new ways of living. Although it can be particularly challenging and disheartening working with people at the lowest times in their lives Joshua finds it personally rewarding as well and is thankful to all his clients for sharing their experience and perspectives.
Joshua also graduated from the University of Minnesota with an undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature. He utilized critical thinking and reading skills learned there in law school as well as his current work analyzing and interpreting texts. He remains and avid Gopher fan.
When he is not at work Joshua enjoys hunting, fishing and performing in waterski shows. He grew up waterskiing with his family and loves to see teams of all ages grow together. You can often find him driving a boat in White Bear Lake or Balsam Lake, working with learning to ski programs, helping competitive skiers train and perform at tournaments or just enjoying a day on the lake.
