Social Security Disability
Jonathan earned a double B.A. in History and Anthropology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, an M.S. in Russian History at Florida State University, and his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While at Ohio State University, Jonathan received the CALI award for the highest grade for his Comparative Law Seminar. Jonathan is also a former Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Burkina Faso, West Africa doing community health outreach. After law school Jonathan joined Southeastern Ohio Legal Services providing legal services to low income individuals with civil legal issues. He later worked for another private law firm and the federal court system. Jonathan works out of the Cleveland, Ohio office and focuses on Social Security Disability law. Recent blog articles include the topics of Substantial Gainful Activity and how it can impact a claimant’s disability case, as well as the differences between Disability Insurance Benefits, which is based on medical disability and work history, and Supplemental Security Income, which is based on medical disability and financial need.
Outside of the office, Jonathan enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as hiking, reading and watching movies.
