Jacklyn Zappa

Jacklyn is an associate attorney at Hoglund, Chwialkowski & Mrozik and practices exclusively in the area of Social Security Disability law. She joined our firm directly after graduating law school and passing the Minnesota State Bar Examination. She advises and represents clients throughout each stage of the Social Security process. Her favorite part about her job is the opportunity to work with a great staff and making a difference for our clients. Jacklyn has traveled and represented clients in cities all throughout the United States.

Jacklyn obtained her bachelor’s degree from Hamline University where she focused her studies in the areas of psychology and legal studies. She then went on to obtain her law degree from Hamline University School of Law. During her time in law school, Jacklyn had the opportunity to study abroad in London. She spent the summer learning about the practices, similarities and differences of arbitration in both the United States and England. In addition to earning legal credit for her completion of the required courses, she also obtained a certificate in international arbitration.

Prior to graduating law school and passing the Minnesota State Bar exam, Jacklyn had the opportunity to work as a legal intern for a family law firm and LRAP, MN. She also worked as a student attorney through the Hamline University School of Law child advocacy clinic.

While outside of the office Jacklyn enjoys time with her family, reading, and watching or playing almost any sport. Her time to relax always includes a good book. She comes from the background of a big sports family and she grew up playing many sports, but her main focus was Hockey. She played for her high school hockey team. Jacklyn grew up surrounded by family-owned businesses in the sporting goods industry. Through this, she gained experience and knowledge in customer service, communication skills, patience, time management and attention to detail.
