Elizabeth J. Cho
Elizabeth J. Cho, grew up in Illinois until she started college. She attended the University of Iowa and graduated in 2009. After college she worked as an English Teacher at a private institution in Illinois and worked as a Columnist/Translator for a local community magazine in Chicago Illinois. She attended Thomas M. Cooley Law and graduated in 2013. During law school, she participated in Mock Trials, volunteered at the local free legal clinic serving the community, and filing taxes for low income families.
She always wanted to work for the District Attorneys office while in law school but had a change of mind after her internship. During the last semester of law school, she interned for the Milwaukee Public Defenders Office Juvenile Court. After this experience she realized she really enjoyed advocating for people who needed help through a tough time. After graduation she started out practicing Juvenile law taking public defender cases as a private attorney for Milwaukee County Wisconsin.She represented children through misdemeanor and guardianship cases.
She also completed courses to fulfill her Guardian Ad Litem requisites. From 2014-2016 she also practiced Bankruptcy in the Eastern District of Wisconsin. She handled both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings. In 2016 She started practicing Social Security Disability and in June 2016, she joined Hoglund Law Office in the Milwaukee branch practicing solely Social Security Disability. When not working, she enjoys reading Agatha Christie novels, camping, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She lives with her husband and two young daughters who keeps her busy.
