Brittney joined Hoglund, Chwialkowski and Mrozik in June 2017, as an associate bankruptcy attorney. Practicing exclusively in bankruptcy, Brittney’s responsibilities include meeting and working with clients to resolve debt issues and representing them at their hearings in Federal District Court. Brittney is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota District Court and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Brittney attended her undergraduate at Winona State University in Winona, MN. In 2013 she graduated with a bachelors degree in Law & Society and with a minor in History. She then attended law school at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. While in law school, she participated in various legal clinics where she worked with licensed attorneys to help assist clients on a pro bono basis. The clinics specialized in various areas including working with veterans, wills and estate planning, criminal justice, family law, and general legal advice. Brittney also received two awards for her pro bono work and service; one from the Community Justice Scholarship Program and the other from St. Mary’s University. Also during her time at St. Mary’s, Brittney participated in a family law violence prevention externship and began working for a solo practice law firm, working in the areas of business law and bankruptcy. At her prior position, she would meet with clients, draft bankruptcy petitions and assist with court hearings for the firm’s chapter 7, 11, and 13 clients. Brittney graduated from St. Mary’s in 2016 and was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar in May of 2017. She is passionate about helping people resolve their debt issues and helping them to get a fresh start.
When she is not practicing law, Brittney enjoys being active and seeking new adventures with her husband, family, and friends. She has run multiple mud obstacle course races and marathons and she enjoys summer lake activities like boating and kayaking. She also enjoys traveling to see/try new things and has a passion for photography.
